Issue with your invoice sequence going out of wack and you can not get the invoicing area to show the next. Dec 17, 2016 - Hi ednawatt, You can search your license by entering your phone number and selecting the Retrieve my license number button. I'm trying to reinstall it and it won't accept the license or product #. When it askes for the password it says its wrong. I had to reinstall quickbooks pro 2013. How do I register the product again?

SPECIAL NOTE:Older version of Point of Sale (v8 and below) may not be able to register the software again after the Entitlment Client contents are removed. On these older versions, please make sure you have the Validation Code for your software or it may become unusable.
Error 176103: Unable to activate the product when opening Point of Sale.
Why this is happening?
This may be caused by one of the following:
* The Point of Sale Entitlement folder contains damaged files.
* An incorrect product code has been used to install Point of Sale.
* You are not logged into Windows as an Administrator.
This may be caused by one of the following:

* You are not logged into Windows as an Administrator.
Your Keyboard/Regional Windows Settings may be set to something other than US/English (Korean is common).
How do I fix this?
To resolve this issue:
Intuit recommends the following 2 solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try both.
Version 2013/2015
Windows 10
- Click on the Folder icon on the bottom of the desktop screen ( this is the File Explorer).
- Click the View tab and check the Hidden items checkbox.
- Navigate in the left window to: C:Program DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8.
- Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then press Delete.
- Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.
Windows 8
- Drag your mouse to the lower-left corner, right-click the Start button and then choose File Explorer.
- Click the View tab and check the Hidden items checkbox.
- Navigate in the left window to: C:Program DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8.
- Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then press Delete.
- Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.
- Right-click the Windows Start button and select Open Windows Explorer.
- Click Organize and select Folder and Search Options.
- Click the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
- Navigate in the left window to C:Program DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8
- Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then press Delete.
- Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.
- Right-click the Windows Start button and select Explore.
- Select the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
- Click the View tab and check the Hide extensions for known file types checkbox.
- Select Show hidden files and folders and clear Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
- Click OK.
- Navigate in the left window to the location: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8. To navigate, click the plus sign (+) next to each folder listed.
- Right click the first file in this folder and select Delete. Click Yes and repeat for each additional file in the v8 folder.
- Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.
- Uninstall Point of Sale.
- Reinstall Point of Sale from a CD or download.
- If the error recurs, run a repair installation on Point of Sale, verifying the Product Number and License Number. (If the product and/or license numbers are incorrect, enter the correct numbers during this process.)
- Open Point of Sale and register if prompted.
If the issue is not resolved, call 877-233-4713 to verify the correct validation code is being used.
Version 9 and 10Solution 1: Delete the contents of the Entitlement Client folder and try again

Version 8 and older- Close Point of Sale if it is running.
- Ensure you are logged into Windows as an Administrator and download the 176125 repair tool:
- Click Save when prompted and save the file to your Windows desktop.
- Double-click POS176125.exe on your desktop and follow the wizard, selecting your version of Point of Sale on the initial screen.
- Open Point of Sale and register if prompted.
- If the error recurs, run a repair installation on Point of Sale, verifying the Product Number and License Number. (If the product and/or license numbers are incorrect, enter the correct numbers during this process.)
- Open Point of Sale and register if prompted.
If the issue is not resolved, call 877-223-4713 to verify the correct validation code is being used.
Option B: Delete the contents of the Entitlement Client folder manually- Right-click the Windows Start button and select Open Windows Explorer (Explore in Vista).
- Click Organize and select Folder and Search Options.
- Click the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders and clear the checkbox for Hide protected system operating files.
- Click Yes on the warning and click OK.
- Navigate in the left window to the location (where X is the highest number version you see):
- Windows 7: C:Program DataIntuitEntitlement ClientX. To navigate, click the arrow symbol next to each folder listed.
- Windows XP: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitEntitlement ClientX.
- Right click the first file in this folder and select Delete. Click Yes and repeat for each additional file in the X.0 folder.
- Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again.
Note: Some of these directions may have been changed due to changes in Windows and the QB POS programming.
